About me

My name is Jordan. I’m a creative technologistnounSomeone who uses design and technology to bring ideas to life. For me, the connection starts with IT, working with the systems, tools, and processes people use every day. When I make something, I find myself thinking about the person using it—what they’re trying to do, what might get in their way, and how it could feel easier to use.Design is part of that thinking for me. I’m drawn to things that feel well thought out, where someone has considered the details, weighed the trade-offs, and made choices that work together. Often, what I find beautiful is the care behind those decisions. That’s how design connects with the technical work I enjoy. in my 30s. My background is in IT, and technology has always been where I feel most at home. Over time, that’s led me to explore software, design, and the experiences we create around them.

A few of the worlds that may have inspired my technology journey growing up in the ’90s and beyond.A few animation and video game influences, among many others.AnimationPokémonDigimonDragon Ball ZYu-Gi-Oh!MedabotsBatman BeyondVideo gamesMega Man Battle NetworkFinal Fantasy XMetal Gear Solid 2Medabots: Metabee / RokushoHaloGears of WarMetroid Prime was part of that long before I understood the technology itself. Growing up, shows, games, and anime gave me worlds where it felt almost limitless. I had a computer at home, but I was still discovering what it could do. Those imagined worlds made me want to understand how things worked and, eventually, make things of my own.

Working with customers early in the workforce taught me how much it matters to listen, be patient, and do what I can to help someone have a good experience. That same care is part of how I approach IT, where I’ve spent more than a decade building and maintaining systems and supporting the people who depend on them.

I’m drawn to technology that fits naturally into our lives, making everyday experiences richer and more enjoyable while, in some cases, getting out of the way. At its best, it feels like an extension of our minds, helping us imagine and create beyond what we could on our own.

That’s what I keep exploring through software and design. I like taking ideas from everyday life and seeing what I can make of them.

I spend a lot of my extra time making things and experimenting with ideas. Some become projects I share here; others are simply a way to learn. I’m still working out what makes an experience feel natural, and I hope the things I make are useful or enjoyable to someone else.

I was born and raised in South Florida and currently reside in Pembroke Pines, near the Everglades. Outside of work, my wife and I love experiencing new things together. I share some of those photographs here on the site. If you’d like, you can connect with me on X (opens in a new tab).
