Why I made it

When I travel with my wife, I sometimes need to get some work done back at the hotel. Magic Queue lets me check the ride wait times right from Raycast, my launcher, so I can see how things are looking at the parks while I’m on my Mac.

In Raycast

Raycast is already part of how I use my Mac. I can pin my favorite rides and parks, then check them from the keyboard. The wait times give me a rough sense of how busy the parks might be, though they don’t measure crowd size.

I started with Walt Disney World, then added Disney parks around the world. My wife and I want to visit every Disney theme park, so I wanted to include the places we still hope to go.

How it started

I originally imagined Magic Queue for the Humane AI Pin. I wanted to try its SDK and explore a small interface for checking waits. The SDK hadn’t become available to me before the service shut down, so I never built that version.

I brought the idea to Raycast instead, on the Mac I was already using. Magic Queue will be released soon.
